Since Finley has turned one, she has really blossomed into a playmate of her older sister. The 21 month age difference has started to pay off! Ryanne has a new nickname for her younger sister...'Mish Mish'..but Eric and I are still wondering where it came from. Ryanne has gotten more into pretend play, which keeps me on my toes. While crawling under couch cushions to play fort with Ryanne, she whispered into my ear..."I have a secret in the fort, but first give me a kiss". I think my melting heart and kisses diverted her attention away from her forgotten secret.
We are anxiously awaiting our first cousin to be welcomed to the world. Ryanne wants John and Lee to know that she thinks it might be a boy. But she said she would be happy to have a girl cousin too...We talk about it alot, so she is just as excited as we are.
The most touching thing that Ryanne has said to me most recently is when she told me "when I am a mommy, Im going to cook alot". I realized that I am already influencing my children, event at their young age...but it would be wonderful to share my passion with them without even trying.
