Ryanne spent her first night in her big girl bed this week. She takes naps in it too. We are really excited for this transition. That is, until she gets sick and then she wants the comforts of her old crib. We got some really soft bedding for her bed (you know we are kind of obsessed with bedding here), so when she wants to get back in, its ready. We also picked up a second crib for Finley (craigslist rocks!!)...She is getting too big to sleep in her pack and play and we don't love bending over so far, 6+ times a night when we're half asleep. Her sleeping patterns are still difficult and are keeping us up way too much at night. We are hoping a new place to sleep might help?!?!? After lots of research, we know we aren't alone, but its still exhausting.
So after all of our wonderful 60 degree weather, IT SNOWED today. I know not a big deal for all of the midwest, but its the first of our season. Ryanne wanted to play outside (while wearing a summer sun dress)..but I had to turn down her request because she has a double ear infection, the beginnings of conjunctivitis and a horrible cold. We went to the pediatrician this morning...URGH. So now 2 of us are on antibiotics-yuck. We all have to get healthy and have the sun come out for our visitors come.
Also wanted to share a little bit of Ryanne's artwork...we were drawing with chalk on our balcony over the weekend...she was scribbling and then pointed at her drawing and said "BUG"..it totally is!! Move over Picasso...
Since we were miserably sick and stuck inside all day, I decided to pull out that final Christmas gift that she didn't open ON Christmas...her $10 indoor tent. She named it "Ryanne's Fort"...um, of course! We played kitchen in the fort, and she took orders from the window....it was actual pretend play and it was really adorable.
